OPTICAL MODULATION
Cybel engineers thecomponents thatturn a continuouslaser beaminto a precise, information-carrying signal lithium niobate modulators, bias controllers, RF drivers and complete ModBox transmitters for lasers, sensing and communication systems.
Precision across the spectrum
From near-infrared laser front ends to C-band telecom links, every Cybel modulator is built around the same core discipline: low insertion loss, high extinction ratio and stability over time and temperature — whatever wavelength the application calls for.

Lithium niobate electro-optic modulators
Cybel masters the full LiNbO₃ modulator chain from chip design to packaging for phase modulators, intensity (Mach-Zehnder) modulators, and polarization switches. Because performance is wavelength-specific, the range is organized by operating band first, and by modulator type within each band.

rf modulator drivers
Keeping a Mach-Zehnder modulator locked to its optimal operating point and driving it with a clean RF signal is as critical as the modulator itself. Cybel's bench-top bias controllers and GaAs distributed-amplifier drivers are built to work seamlessly with the modulator range above.
Modulator bias controllers
Automated bench-top instruments that select and hold a Mach-Zehnder modulator's bias point, eliminating manual readjustment across time and temperature drift. Available for digital and pulsed MZ modulators.
